Amaya dining

The dramatic interior, with
a view of the Show Kitchen

When Amaya opened its doors in2004 , we not only wanted to engage the palate with a ground breaking style of Indian cuisine, but also impress the eye and lift the soul

A sophisticated star in Knightsbridge

Amaya breaks all perceived traditional conceptions,  with an open-grill kitchen, as well as a vibrant on-view salad bar, which backdrops the scintillating setting in one of London’s most fashionably unconventional Michelin-starred restaurants. The chefs, using attractive clay barrels, smoking grills, hot plates and multi coloured wall of condiments and utensils, deliver a hot drama in culinary theatre.

Relish in a night of variety in an atmosphere that sizzles with elegant sophistication. The radiant allure of Amaya is instantly apparent, with a trendy bar and secluded areas for pre-dinner warm ups. A combination of shot silk cushions, deep orange plaited leather chairs, stunning brightly coloured naive paintings from Kerala and Bengal and attractive terracotta sculptures makes dining extremely special. A long table, surrounded by a fringe of glorious long crystals, creates a dazzling venue for quicker or dining solo meals.

A sensual palette to accompany the palate

The palette of Agra sandstone, rosewood and burnt tangerine marries in stylish unison with the cutting-edge style of cuisine. The kitchen setting throws out a golden glow behind a raised dark wood platform with tables lit by daylight at lunchtime from a tinted glass roof, and by star-like spot lights at dinner. Wherever you choose to sit in Amaya, the aura here is scintillating and beguiling with a positive energy.
