The dramatic interior, with a view of the communal table with crystal chandelier

AMBIENCE

When Amaya opened its doors we wanted to impress the eye and lift the soul as well as engaging the palate with the ground breaking Indian cuisine.

A SOPHISTICATED STAR IN BELGRAVIA

The kitchen is the stage from which food theatre is created; it is the focal point of the restaurant with a luminous backdrop backlighting bottles of infused oils.

The chefs, using metal encased tandoori ovens, smoking grills, hot plates and multi coloured wall of oils and ingredients, deliver a hot drama in culinary theatre.

A VIBRANT COMBINATION

The restaurant is a luminous contemporary space.  A glazed atrium floods natural light by day and is lit with star-like spots at dinner.

The seductive rosewood bar is defined by chic red banquettes with shot silk cushions.

A striking 4 metre rosewood communal table – the emblem of our philosophy about socialising - is bordered by glorious long hanging crystals.

A SENSUAL PALETTE TO ACCOMPANY THE PALATE

The palette of Agra sandstone, Kerala rosewood and burnt tangerine marry stylishly with the food.  Warm wooden floors enhance the casual chic.

The handmade furniture blend rosewood tables and chairs, stylish Italian leather chairs and deep orange plaited leather chairs.

Art includes commissioned stunning naive Kerala paintings and bold Bengal terracotta sculptures.

The aura is scintillating and beguiling with  positive energy.
